During the implementation phase (2008-2011), the RRPP strives to achieve the following:

By 2011, social research and capacities to manage international funds of regional RRPP partners have been enhanced.

Capacity building is an enabling and empowering process, as it provides social scientists with the  necessary tools and networks, providing them with better chances for producing good and even excellent research results. In turn, this also increases the professional status, the legitimacy and the visibility of social scientists in their respective countries.

In order to improve the research quality, the RRPP coaches the in the RRPP involved research groups and provides them with the opportunity to participate in methodological and thematic trainings. In conceptualizing the whole Capacity Building Programme and identifying the trainers, the RRPP team mainly relies on the support of  Ms. Lea Sgier.
